Kansas City Art Institute | Barbara Marshall

Founded in 1885, the Kansas City Art Institute originated as a Sketch Club composed of Kansas City residents with a shared appreciation for art. Walt Disney, Thomas Hart Benton, and Robert Morris were among the notable students who studied here. Today it is a private, independent, four-year college of fine arts. They have just under 700 students and are located near the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in the Plaza Area.
